Disability Football Development Officer

 

Salary – Salary £22,000 - £26,000 per annum (3 year full time fixed term contract)

 

Liverpool County Football Association working in partnership with Big Lottery Fund and The Football Association is looking to appoint a Disability Football Development Officer.

 

This exciting new position will report to the County Development Manager and will commence in September 2010.  Based at the County Headquarters in Walton Hall Soccer Centre, Liverpool.

 

Each role encompasses the following areas: 

 

  • Growth and Retention – increasing and sustaining disabled player participation
  • Raising Standards – creating a safe and positive environment for disabled people
  • Better Players – implementation of Playground to Podium and management of the Disability Centre of Excellence
  • Running the Game – establishing effective playing structures for disabled people and securing investment into disability football
  • Workforce – developing a grassroots volunteer workforce including coaches, referees, administrators and club welfare officers

 

To apply you need to be of graduate calibre, have experience in sports development/disability sport together with an understanding of The FA National Game Strategy.  You need to be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level.  You must be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

 

Candidates must be able to demonstrate both team working and the ability to work unsupervised. Candidates should also have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. You need also to have a current driving licence and also be able to work evenings and weekends.
